SYNOPSIS

WOVEN is a spousal/relationship drama that x-rays the challenges people have to deal with based on their choice of a life partner.

The conflict of drama is represented in the everyday decision and general lifestyle of flawed characters that seem to easily point out the fault in others but conveniently overlook or justifies their own short comings.

Although through the poor judgment and parochial views of these less-than-perfect characters, we can still detect some modicum of moral sensibilities that are quite capable of awakening our consciousness to the essential errors of our beings.

Woven is based on separate strands of story elements weaved seamlessly together into one dramatic tapestry. Our first story arc is that of the AGBOOLA’S family. How they manage to paddle their marital canoe through the turbulent waters of infidelity, unrepentant rapist son amongst other family dramas. When Elizabeth finds out that their son [AYOMIDE] raped their former house-help and her husband helped him to cover up the evil act, she decides to punish Ayomide in a manner he will never forget.

Secondly, we analyze the back-and-forth love story of Livinus and his baby Mama [Peace]. They were deeply in- love until she mistakenly got pregnant and refused to abort which led to an uncontrollable resentment from Livinus, but they have a child together now and no matter how hard they tried to move on, life keeps bringing them back together.

Our third story strand explores the campus romance of two love birds who are undergraduates in the same university. When Osas started having challenges with accommodation and paying tuition fee, he moved in with Bolu who lives off campus and it became a live in lover arrangement. She becomes financially responsible for all his needs and before long, she needed more than just words of mouth from him to secure her place permanently in his life. Bolu takes Osas to her grandmother who is vast in traditional medicine and demands she joins them together in a blood oath.

WOVEN is designed to largely entertain the general television audience while also representing the vehicle for moral development.
